Tooth decay is one of the most common reasons for non-emergency hospital admissions among children. As such, it is crucial to educate on good hygiene practices including daily tooth brushing in the school curriculum to improve oral hygiene and prevent tooth decay.
Hosted on October 17, 2019, this webinar highlighted successful approaches and initiatives, including the “Mexico City – Access to Oral Health for Children” project facilitated by WFPHA, as well as debated the challenges of making oral health for children a human right. The main focus was on school-based implementation through effective education and comprehensive actions. This was part of the #DPHTalks webinar series lead by WFPHA Oral Health Working Group.
