Hyewon Lee is a board-certified pediatric dentist and assistant professor at the Mount Sinai Hospital, New York.
Her main focus of program development and health service research is on health education, program implementation, and both micro-and macro-policy development to improve the oral health of mothers and babies. By integrating oral health into prenatal and postnatal care, Hyewon aims to elevate the importance of oral health as a part of primary care for the maternal and child population. She also serves as the Chair of the oral health workgroup of the World Federation of Public Health Associations, collaborating with world dental leaders to integrate oral health into public health and primary health. Previously, Hyewon worked as a Public Health Dental Officer in the U.S. Department of Health, managing a national dental program.
